OUR PROJECTS ARE DESIGNED THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AND SUPPORT WITH-AND-FOR CHILDREN. WE PLACED CHILDREN AT THE CENTER OF OUR WORK TO ENSURE OUR PROGRAMS ARE RELEVANT, SCALABLE AND SUSTAINABLE WHERE THE BENEFITS ARE REACHING CHILDREN IN NEED. WE HAVE VALUE FOR MONEY AND ENSURES THE HIGHEST FORM OF ACCOUNTABILITY.
In 2019, we partnered with Hope Children's Foundation Sierra Leone to change the lives of 50 underprivileged children at our library and resource centre, Jui. The project focused on enabling children explore their talents and abilities through participating in reading, practical arts and learning new skills. At the end of their talent exhibitions, pupils from three primary schools won worthy prizes of school learning materials, bag packs and certificates.
The US Embassy, Freetown, in collaboration with The Children's Assurance Program Sierra Leone (CAP-SL) completed a partnership project with the Young African Leaders Initiative, Regional Leadership Centre (YALI-RLC) Sierra Leone Chapter. This project centered on teaching community residents about the effects of Gender Based Violence, community education and prevention mechanisms in the Jui, Kossoh Town, Hastings and Grafton communities, Western Area Rural District, Freetown. The people improved the knowledge of up to 200 people on prevention mechanism.
